| ASI was originally chartered as an occupational credit union which served only employees of Avondale Shipyards, Inc. In the early 1980s, the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) began allowing companies unable to support their own credit unions to join an existing credit union. ASI FCU now has a multiple common bond charter and a community charter through mergers and the addition of Select Employee Groups (SEGs). | As a Select Employee Group of ASI Federal Credit Union, your employees and their relatives will be eligible for membership. You can offer the convenience of payroll deductions or direct deposit to your employees, allowing them to make loan payments and/or deposits to their savings accounts directly from their paycheck and all this at no cost to your company!
