With hurricane season quickly approaching, as a free service to our members, ASI will publish a series of hurricane preparation instructions to aid you in your personal storm preparations. You may want to print and save each set of instructions.
Know that immediately before, during, or after hurricane power outages or inclement weather, a variety of other factors may make it impossible for ASI to open some or all of its branch locations. Just because you can’t visit us in person doesn’t mean that you can’t access your account: ASI ALWAYS offers three ways you may access your account for free during a hurricane:
- by using ASI’s free 24-hour account access by phone
- by using ASI’s free 24-hour account access by web
- by visiting a shared service branch – any location in ASI’s branched network
Please use this page as a guide to set up account access online or via the internet. If you can’t figure out the instructions below, call us or ask a branch employee to walk you through the process. If a tropical depression enters the gulf and a hurricane threat is imminent, be sure to test your account number and access code BEFORE you leave town.
Three types of account access are free to you. Both phone and internet access allow you to check your balance, see what checks have cleared or been deposited, and transfer funds, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. ASI’s shared branch network allows you to visit any participating credit union service center to check your ASI account balance and perform many basic transactions.
How to use the phone system: To access DASI, ASI’s audio response phone system, you can call (504)733-7336 or 1(800)725-2624. You will need 1) your Member Number and 2) your PIN (personal identification number). The first time you use the free phone system, your PIN will be the last 4 digits of your social security number.
How to use the web system: To use EASI, ASI’s free online system, you will need to log on to: http://www.asifcu.org. Click on the button that says “EASI”. You will have to enter your Member Number and access code. If you have never used the online system before, your access code will be the last four digits of your social security number. If you have previously registered for DASI, ASI’s audio response telephone system, please use your DASI PIN as your access code for EASI.
How to find a service center: A service center is a shared branch created through a partnership of many credit unions nationwide. You can visit service centers across the country to conduct business. Most are open Monday through Saturday. You can cash checks and make deposits and withdrawals (some withdrawal limits may apply), make loan payments, perform account transfers, and purchase travelers checks and money orders. You can also check your balance. Go to www.cuservicecenters.com to search for a service center near you by city or state. You can also call (866)812-2872 to ask for directions to the nearest service center. Click here to view a list of services that CUSCs will offer.
